Why an additional tank?
For long distances on which we are not sure what the fuel supply looks like, we decided to update Harry's tank size. Now we have almost 120L of diesel available.
We have installed a through-flow tank from Gmb Mount from our home in Stuttgart. The tank itself is made of high quality stainless steel and comes with all the necessary accessories for installation.
What are the advantages?

- replace the seal on the submersible pump (WGQ500020) watch the end of our linked video
- shortens the fuel hose to 9.5 cm
- attached before you push the tank into the wheel arch, push the two fuel hoses and, if necessary, remove the tank
- put the fuel hose on the original tank side and use a big crowbar to put the hose on the additional tank
- It is best for two people to push the tank up parallel to the inner part of the rear crossbeam, while pushing the fender away to the side
- proceed analogously with the tank ventilation
- if you have mounted a spare wheel carrier, use the longer screws for easier assembly
- for drilling the bridge in the vehicle interior, make a template with a hole spacing of 90mm
- After you have drilled the first hole from below, put the hole with the template (drill helps) and drill the second hole down, underlay the hole with a piece of wood so as not to accidentally drill into the tank
